West Marshall Special Election 12/15/2020

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of the County of Marshall, State of Iowa, that the Special School Election for West Marshall School District will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. The polls for said election will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Voters must vote in their precinct of residence in the West Marshall School District.  Please read this notice carefully to determine your correct voting location.  Voting locations have changed for some voters.  If you are unsure of your voting precinct for the election, please contact the Marshall County Auditor/Recorder & Commissioner of Elections at 641-754-6302 or by e-mail election@marshallcountyia.gov.  You may also verify the voting location for your home address at:https://sos.iowa.gov/elections/voterreg/pollingplace/search.aspx. Precinct maps and sample ballots are available on our website https://elections.marshallcountyia.gov/ under the Election banner and choose Special School Election.

 

In-Person absentee voting and mail absentee voting begins TBD. Absentee voting will be at the Great Western Bank, 101 N. 1st Ave, 2nd Floor, Marshalltown. Please use north door and masks are required. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. in the precincts within Marshall County.  . 

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot.  Voters who are not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote on election day – and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required) may 1) have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the county auditor’s office by Monday, December 21st, at Noon.  Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification.  For additional information about providing proof of identity and/or residence visit: https://sos.iowa.gov/voterid or phone 641-754-6302.
