Archived Election Details

In-Person absentee voting and mailed absentee voting will begin July 1st. In-Person Absentee voting will be at the Marshall County Courthouse, Auditor’s Office, 3rd Floor, 1 East Main St., Marshalltown. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If requesting a mailed ballot, the request form needs to be received in our office by 5 PM on July 1st. Last day to pre-register to vote for the Special Election is July 1, 2024 At 5PM.

NOTICE OF MARSHALLTOWN CITY WARD 4 SPECIAL ELECTION

     MARSHALL COUNTY, STATE OF IOWA

 

 

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of Marshalltown City Ward 4 in the County of Marshall, State of Iowa, that a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The polls for said election will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

 

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Last day to pre-register to vote for the Special Election is July 1, 2024 @ 5PM.

 

Voters who are not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote on Election Day – and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required) 1) may have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the county auditor’s office by Noon on Monday, July 22, 2024. Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If requesting a mailed ballot, the request form needs to be received in our office by 5 PM on July 1st.

Voter registration forms, absentee ballot application forms, and information regarding documents acceptable to prove identification and residency, are available on the Marshall County website https://elections.marshallcountyia.gov. The forms must be signed and dated. Mail or hand deliver requests forms to the Marshall County Auditor/Recorder’s Office at 1 East Main Street, Marshalltown, IA 50158.
