Archived Election Details

In-Person absentee voting and mailed absentee voting will begin July 1st. In-Person Absentee voting will be at the Marshall County Courthouse, Auditor’s Office, 3rd Floor, 1 East Main St., Marshalltown. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If requesting a mailed ballot, the request form needs to be received in our office by 5 PM on July 1st. Last day to pre-register to vote for the Special Election is July 1, 2024 At 5PM.

NOTICE OF MARSHALLTOWN CITY WARD 4 SPECIAL ELECTION

     MARSHALL COUNTY, STATE OF IOWA

 

 

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of Marshalltown City Ward 4 in the County of Marshall, State of Iowa, that a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The polls for said election will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

 

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Last day to pre-register to vote for the Special Election is July 1, 2024 @ 5PM.

 

Voters who are not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote on Election Day – and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required) 1) may have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the county auditor’s office by Noon on Monday, July 22, 2024. Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification. Voter registration forms, absentee ballot application forms, and information regarding documents acceptable to prove identification and residency, are available on the Marshall County website https://elections.marshallcountyia.gov. The forms must be signed and dated. Mail or hand deliver requests forms to the Marshall County Auditor/Recorder’s Office at 1 East Main Street, Marshalltown, IA 50158.
